Brent Franzel has been involved in Federal and state government for more than 25 years. He began his career in 1981 on the legislative staff of then Missouri Governor Christopher S. Bond. Franzel worked in 1986 as Director of Policy Development and Research on Bond’s first Senate campaign. He served as Legislative Counsel to Bond from 1987 to 1994 with direct responsibility for appropriations, national defense and international trade issues. From 1995 to 1996 he was a Subcommittee Staff Director on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Development Committee. Franzel is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and the Duke University School of Law.
